These plugs are crafted from a highly uniform substrate that incorporates hundreds of micro air pockets, which promote robust fibrous root development throughout the entire depth and volume of the plug. One of the key advantages of these plugs is the absence of a net, allowing roots to grow freely and develop optimally after potting.When cuttings are grown in Preforma plugs, they exhibit a notably cleaner callous compared to other propagation media. This results in a significant increase in the number of active root nodes formed at the callous site, stimulating rapid and extensive root development.These plugs are manufactured and delivered "wet," meaning they come pre-moistened and may contain small colonies of mold. However, this mold typically consists of saprophytic fungi, such as Trichoderma and Peziza, which are not harmful to plants. In most cases (99%), these fungi do not pose any threat to plant health. Once placed in a typical nursery environment and watered a few times, the natural balance within the plugs normalizes, leading to the eventual disappearance of the fungi.Specifications:
